Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza Can you imagine a city whose plots vacant are used as provisional public spaces that generate alternating and successive urban dynamics? Plots with cows, with swimming pools, with living rooms, with flowering fields for picnics, with altars for weddings, spaces to rest, read, watch the stars ... Pleasure and invention. The vacant plots are small open plots in the city that make it possible to produce and live in a sphere other than speculation, urban planning and homogeneous buildings and routines.

Before, Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza; 2009, São Paulo: the objective of collective experimental occupation of vacant plots has always been to convert private property into temporary public spaces, with the collaboration of artists, people, and institutions. The loan of the land is negotiated with owners. With the local population, relationships are created through the occupation and use given to the plots.

This destabilises notions of private property and encourages everybody to actively, experimentally and independently participate in the production of the city, demonstrating the intrinsically socio-political nature of the action on a microscale. By occupying the plots, which infiltrate the whole city, a new landscape is born.
