Memory, celebrations and property market A passage. Constructions based on rectangular modules form the two walls of each side of the street, not more than three metres high. Coloured balloons. Blocks of rectangles laid down. Side by side. On top of each other. Some open, some closed with gratings or glass. One in particular, with an aluminium window covered with stickers. Cemeteries as formal places in the city - support for post-it occupations, - “subjective places”. For the tombs of boys/girls, there are delimited spaces, especially designed for children, that have generated a community where its own codes are created and “a place of remembrance” is formed. These spaces are configured preferably from patios or galleries of niches where a series of phenomena appear; situations related to the self-construction, intervention and appropriation of these places. And also in the totally different format of park cemeteries signs of these informal practices continue to appear. What happens then with these displaced subjectivities, when the death of a child(boy/girl) symbolised in a ritual niche totally vanishes due to lack of resources? |
