Occasional encounters around a cinema, Berlin

Like a detective, the photographer goes deeper into a park near a porn cinema and discreetly follows young people who are looking for easy money for some months. Stolen photos, taken with the speed of a reporter, that tell us about nights of excess, banned substances, illicit relationships consummated on the outskirts of Berlin. Portraits of faces and places that hide themselves, taken by surprise by an infrared light or dazzling flashbulb.
The gestuality in these abandoned spaces seems more interesting than journalistic exclusives and sensationalist reports. This piece of research focuses on the documentation of people and their movement in forgotten or unplanned spaces, presented with a deliberately harsh aesthetic, which reflects the nature of these places.
The photographs portray marginal urban zones, areas of exclusion available for new relationships and interpretations by subcultures or those with no alternative.
